Captain's Match Report
Hello Golfers,
I know it was a bit tricky to find and we never go the same way twice, but what a lovely course and we were very lucky with the weather. After a general “mutiny” over the suggestion of a 5 club challenge we all set off bags in hand on a course that despite having had tonnes of rain was in fact very playable. It would appear, along with myself that a lot of you persevered with the 5 club thing and I quite enjoyed it but I do understand that those of you contending for the Championship points may have needed all the tools in the box. Perhaps we can do this as a fun day later in the year?
Everybody seemed to play reasonably well with most scoring around 29 points, bad luck to Vice Captain Pete whose “wheels came off”, Pete I am sure they will be back on for Chartham Park (21st February).
For those who stayed for the meal, I think you will agree it was well worth it as the food was outstanding! And a good time was had by all.
Apologies to our Chairman Peter for omitting his nearest the pin mention for West Malling ;(
