This challenging course is always a good day, so please make an effort to come.
As it has been hot recently our Captain Pete has encouraged the committee to relax the dress code for this occasion and smart casual is acceptable for dinning afterwards so this may appeal to those who don't do the shirt and tie thing!
Unfortunately no buggies at this course.

Well what a difference a few days makes... The blazing sunshine at Hemsted was enough to dry out the last few drops of Belgium rain from the soaked golf bags. I'm sure the whole field of 25 players would agree that it's nice to play golf on a sunny day but much hotter would have proved a big challenge. Hemsted is always one of our more demanding venues and it again proved to be the case with just one of the players scoring beyond their handicap. Well done to the overall and Division Two winner Gary Koster with a round of 37 points, a clear 4 above second placed and Division Three winner Peter Tweddell. The rest of the Champions League places were separated by just 5 points with Luke Moore nipping into tenth place with 28 points. The Division One title went to Roy Goodhew with 30 points.
The Captain's 'Team of the Day' went to the last group out which included the overall winner Gary Koster along with Graham Gordon, Mark Campfeild and Paul Damper. Paul must be a pleasure to play with as he's always in groups that card a good combined score.
I hope to see you all at Darenth Valley (15th August), please let Tim know if you're attending. Also please bring along a guest as I'm still to hand out a best guest prize!
